We Need You There Tomorrow to Help Us Save Lives!
9:00 A.M. Public Forum at the Hillsborough County Center
601 E Kennedy, Downtown Tampa
For the first time in Hillsborough's history, a REAL plan is being introduced to our county commissioners (at their request), by Animal Services Director Ian Hallett. The working pieces of this plan, "Be the Way Home" are gathered from proven best practices across our state and across the country. Designed to fit into our community's feedback for almost a year, it is a compromise where no one wins everything they want, except the animals. More of them get to live. And as we orchestrate our way through these notes to make them an even closer fit to our community needs, more animals will be saved. Both by emphasizing adopting and returning. Returning to owner, or returning to the home that they knew.
You'd think this plan would be a no-brainer, wouldn't you? Think again. There are some that say "Sometimes death is the better option". We don't believe that and we don't think that you do either. That's why we need your help tomorrow! Help Us Create a Sea of Green at This Meeting in Support of This Plan! We're going to create a sea of green to represent the community's support for this plan!
