Introduction

I am Jim, I've working in the Animal Welfare/ Animal Rights field for nearly thirteen years and finally had to bow out for my health. I started as an Animal Control Officer, made my way up to Managing Animal Shelters and finally, working with PETA.

What type of activism do you enjoy? (i.e. leafletting, tabling, hosting film screenings, letter writing, restaurant outreach, etc...)

I have a large amount of leafleting materials and would be happy to share them with anyone. I will bring all of it to the next meeting. I want to go to Camp Ruckus and learn how to scale tall building and hang banners and such.

Why do you want to help animals?

Mostly because they do not have a voice and I can speak for them.

When do you have availability so that other members can reach you to pair up to do activism?

Because of my job I can find time during weekday afternoons. I would love to help PETA protest the Circus in Tampa next month. If you'd like to join me please let me know.

Hi, Jim. Love the Katahdin pic. I, too, have climbed Katahdin. In April. The trails were covered with bright orange salamanders, and water was pouring off the mountain everywhere from the spring thaw. It was awesome.
