FVA announces a new campaign: Nikki-4-Ninety!

Dear Friends,
As you know, Florida Voices for Animals (FVA) has provided me with the greatest opportunity to reduce suffering, an issue that consumes us all.
Upon realizing that our culture has been created on the backs of the vulnerable, my life's mission became abundantly clear - raise awareness so that others may be a part of the solution, rather than the problem.
Identifying the most effective route to achieve this goal - as we all know - is a work in progress. I find a great deal of solace in knowing how many of us are on this crusade, and am even more inspired at the unparalleled quality each of you posses.
Since my employment, FVA and animal-related issues have gained additional media attention, not to mention the exposure for Vegan Outreach and environmental/resource destruction associated with factory farming at an Obama rally in St. Petersburg [this event in particular spread through the internet like wild-fire, reaching health and political groups, as well.]
I've given presentations to four local college classes, resulting in a Professor going vegetarian, and numerous students requesting starter kits. A presentation I gave in Tennessee while leafleting for Vegan Outreach had over seventy attendees, distributing twelve Veg Starter kits and at least four confirmed new vegans! I'll be giving 4-5 presentations on November 19th to middle and high school students for the Great American Teach-In, as well.
In June, I attended the Governors Climate Summit in Miami. Fellow activist Steve Erlsten and I were the only representatives for vegetarian diets being the most immediate and effective tool to combat climate change. Our outreach targeted all exhibitors and attendees, as well as having one-on-one conversations with: Jay Levenstein, Deputy Commissioner with Florida's Department of Agriculture (oversees the Animal Industry and Standards Division) and with Florida's Dept. of Environmental Protection Secretary, Mike Sole.
Both FVA's and my own motivation know no bounds, but unfortunately, we are tethered by monetary constraints. My contract will have to expire in January 2009 without your help.
Though we are all in trying economic times, we appeal to your compassion and determination to push forward with our full time efforts.
