The primary group rescuing dogs in the Everglades is "100+ Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida," who's owner Amy Roman is quoted in the WPVT article. I have been following and donating to this group for over 2 years and can happily vouch for the amazing job they are doing in the third-world areas on Southern Miami. Here is their Facebook page. I urge you to "like" it and follow them:

I am imploring you to view the video link and then contact all of the below legislators. This is the email I just sent to them along with the TV news link: (feel free to use your own comments). Cross posting to all is wonderful.
Dear Miami Dade Legislators:
It is disgraceful that Miami Dade legislators allow the problem of dumped, abandoned dogs to continue to fester without making any effort to assist those trying to rescue these dogs or making any effort to stop this unlawful practice. Perhaps when there is a huge outcry by your constituents, you might pay attention. I hope to let everyone know about  Miami Dade's shame.
It is my hope that you will address this issue once you hear from your constituents. I am sure, if you gather your stakeholders and some concerned citizens together, you can brainstorm some ideas to restore Miami Dade's image by taking corrective action. I applaud WPTV.
