Coalition to Ban Horse Drawn Carriages Educational Demo

On Monday June 9th, a carriage horse named 'Pumpkin' lost his bridle and bolted. The horse turned off Central Park South and into the Sixth Avenue entrance of Central Park  running. He then circled around to the backstretch of Central Park South. That is when the horse's carriage clipped the open door of a taxi.

Please join the Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages and concerned activists to protest the inhumane, cruel and abusive horse-drawn carriage trade.

Stand with us as we educate tourists and others not to take these rides.

Supporting the carriage trade is supporting  institutionalized cruelty. It is legal now, but its days are numbered.

Please speak out for the exploited carriage enslaved carriage horses.

We cannot do this without you.

The only reason I voted for de Blasio is for the carriage horses, but it seem this was just an empty promise to get votes. He will NEVER get my vote and I think we should call him on it by picketing or whatever it takes. He has not done anything else right let's see if we can at least confront him on this to have him do ONE good thing. Please let me know what I can do to help. I would gladly picket his office or whatever it takes.

I always enjoy our picketing, especially with Robert who is one of the hardest workers & most compassionate animal rights people I've met plus these demos give us the opportunity to educate those who are unaware of the many things they unwittingly do that supports animal cruelty, such as the carriage horse business does. Mayor de Blasio has to be convinced that he was elected primarily by support of the animal rights folks, support he will NOT get in 2018 if he doesn't fulfill his long overdue promise .. we're still waiting & will continue to remind him.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
