Calling all animators, illustrators, storyboard artists, directors, writers, producers, editors, VFX artists - it's about time we got together and made films of our own. There's too much talent in San Francisco for us to not all be collaborating together to create awesome animated films, so why not team up and make some?

Whether you're a beginner or veteran, young or old, an animator or writer, as long as you want to contribute to making quality animated content, then this club is for you. The Animated Filmmakers Society of San Francisco (AFS-SF) will be a group of passionate, talented creatives whose goal is to work together to create entertaining animated content. It's more or less like being part of a real, fully-functional animation studio where we'll all work together using our combined talents to create animated short films and then get them into festivals.

Will participating in this club help add work to your portfolio? Could we go after paid gigs in the bay area and animated for paying clients? Could we collaborate to make an award-winning feature film that sees distribution? Possibly. But one thing that will happen is that you'll learn a lot from each other while building up your creative network, all while enhancing your skills and creating great animated content in a makeshift studio setting.

Oh, and you'll be having fun doing what you love.
