Anime Visions is for discovering and discussing artistic animation. Most of it is from Japan, which has a huge and varied animation industry. In Japanese, anime just means animation, although in English it usually means Japanese animation.
We have Movies about once every two months and Discussions about twice a month. For Movies, we go to a movie, eat, and talk about it. For Discussions, we stream current series at home, get together about once a month for each, eat, and talk about it.
An anime series is typically a story told in 12 to 26 weekly half-hour episodes by one director, one main writer, and maybe a couple supporting writers. New series start every quarter. You can stream them legally with subtitles on sites such as Hulu and Crunchyroll.
