January Saturday Meetup

Hello Everyone!

This is our first Saturday Meetup!

It starts at 12:00 p.m. and goes until 8:00 p.m., so plenty of time to play all those new games you got for the holidays!

Feel free to bring any games that you would like to play. We usually have a wide selection of games that appeal to different types of gamers.

We ask that attendees be 18 and older.

Please be aware that Fun 4 All does not allow outside food or drink in the store. They do have pop and snacks for sale.

Also, Fun 4 All gives us a 20% discount on all board game purchases that day.

If you would like to set up a game in advance for people to sign up, just use the message boards. (Click on Discussions ---> Message Boards.

Hope to see you there!

Michael, good to hear! I'm going to try to get there as close to noon as possible. We have two more slots!

MEQ doesn't take that long. I've played a few games of it. The learning game with 4 newbies is probably going to run about 4 hours at the most, assuming nobody totally succumbs to analysis paralysis. I'd be willing to play!

Would anyone be interested in taking a stab at Middle Earth Quest? http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/31563/middle-earth-quest I picked up a copy a few weeks ago and have been itching to try it out. It plays 2-4. FYI Playtime is probably around the 5-6 hour mark.

OK. Lets start Dominant Species early. It supports 6 players and currently has 3 openings. If you are interested please reply here or on the forums. Those I have signed up are Andres, Natalie, and myself. This game is a pretty cutthroat area control/worker placement game. It was featured on the last episode of the How to Play Podcast, so if you want to have an idea how the game plays you might want to check that out. I am looking forward to the 22nd.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
