They have a nice indoor play place for those snowbound MI winters!
I changed the date and time to Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM
Oh man, I though it was a suggestion box, not an actual change the date box! I don't really know how to undo what I did there, either.. soo.... Sorry :(
David, I'm not in MI so can't be there to coordinate anything that early, however, if you want to coordinate it you guys can start having them anytime. Let me know and I can help with the details.
Hey Gretchen, I've been without a computer for a bit and the mobile version of this website is a lil.. off, so sorry for missing your response! Again I thought that the "Suggest at time" field was a way to reccomend a time and a date, not something that would actually change the field. I can not figure out hot to cancel that suggestion. Since you started this, and I am still so new to all of this in general, perhaps the best time to meet is when you are available to run it :) Thanks again!
Hi Everyone,
I'm waiting on a response from Northfield. We may be out of luck as they want us to have an insurance policy. I offered to have waivers drawn up absolving them of liability for everyone to sign but they haven't replied. They have always been slow communicating so maybe that's the case this time.
Any thoughts?

The Ann Arbor Dog Club in Whitmore Lake (just like 10 minutes north of Ann Arbor) also rents out their facilities. That might be an option also.
Any headway on either of these sites? We could start looking for dog friendly parks and keep it simple. I thought swift run dog park at first but there is paperwork and fees involved. Ann Arbor Arboretum or Bandimere Park?
Are there any good dog parks between Ann Arbor and West Bloomfield area? I will look around for indoor play places around here.
This new time actually works out for me a bit better than the old one, nice!
do we have a location since it is scheduled for this weekend? we'd love to meet other igs!!
unfortunately, I started getting pretty sick last night, and this morning I believe I may have the beginnings of the flu. Not wanting to be ground zero for a flu outbreak among you fine folk, I will have to pass for tomorrow :-(
Not sure if it worked out with our location either way, but I hope you all can get together and we can make this a regular thing!
An update:
Ann Arbor Dog Training Club is still considering our request to use their space. They charge a hefty $100 for a smaller room (approximately 50 x 40 feet) or $150 for a larger room, about double the size of the small room.
The rental is from 7 AM to 1 PM or 1 PM to 7 PM. I've proposed to them that we rent the the space and try to find another breed club to split the cost, we would get 1 PM to 3 PM and they could have 3 PM to 5 PM or something like that. Any thoughts?
There is another place in A2/Saline that has a sand arena. It has a menagerie too. The Pet Emporium is the pet supplies store there, it's on Ann Arbor Saline Road, east of Wagner and across from the Fairgrounds.
I would rather the meetup be earlier, like 9am.
Don't know if I could make it out in Ann Arbor that late in the morning, then get back for work.
And another place that might rent out is Arborroads Farm. It is just off the corner at Maple & Ann Arbor/Saline Road. They have lots of dog classes and breed Ridgebacks. There is an indoor room they use for conformation classes, and a sand arena that is usually full of agility equipment.
Any thoughts about where to meet?
