Yes-I will be volunteering at the Parlato concert. New to both performers, so will see how it goes!

Hi, Jeff. Alert: I don't think Paul will be playing with his band tonight because on his website he's scheduled to be appearing in Nova Scotia! Check his website. http://www.pkorecords.com/gigogram.ht... According to the Grotto, the band will still be playing, and a h.s. group will be performing.

That festival looks like fun! I hope that it becomes a Meet up. Thanks for the info on the album! I agree with your take on Gretchen Parlato ... so many jazz singers sound like ... jazz singers. No one does it like Ella and Sarah did ... but when there is something different, now THAT catches my attention. Otherwise, I would rather hear jazz piano. Lol. Hello Jeff ... somehow missed your greeting! Made it to Montreal. THAT is aMeet Up for next year! Saw Brad Mehldau and Joshua Redman perform together ... magical. I also saw Gretchen Parlato in an intimate venue, and Laila Biali in an outdoor theater. There is also some great talent coming out of the Canadian universities ... one to watch is Efa Etaroma. I need to be independently wealthy so I can see all the shows I want! Missed Esperanza Spaulding, but I will get to see her one day.
