Hi everyone, as you know we have a meet-up on Saturday, August 20th. Our guest will be Dr. Louis Loeb, a scholar of the philosopher, David Hume. David Hume was a skeptic and rationalist.
I know that many of our members are probably not familiar with Hume. And may even be rusty when it comes to philosophy. I'm in the same boat. So over the next two weeks, I'm going to post some short articles about David Hume and his philosophical approach on our website that will give you some familiarity with him and his work. I hope that it will make for a good background going into the meet-up.
And if there's any members who have a strong understanding of philosophy, if you see that I've mis-characterized or over-simplified his arguments, feel free to post corrections or clarifications in the comments.
The first post is up now. Subsequent posts will be posted every 2 to 3 days until the meet-up.
