Natural light/Off Camera flash whatever you choose walk

Since it's been so nice out I thought it might be fun to get together and photograph some people in Ann Arbor. I'll try to get a few of the highschool girls and guys I know to do some amatuer modeling for us. If I can't we can always practice photographing and directing each other. I was thinking thinking we could start in Kerry town and walk but am open to suggestions.  I'll be bringing my off camera flashes and umbrellas.

**Update** To keep this walk true to it's title, I have decided to hold it outside.  I love some of the options that were given but want to keep it urban and with natural light for those who do not use flash.  We will meet outside the Ann Arbor Farmers Market.  It's pretty easy to find, parking usually isn't an issue.  There are a few cool colored walls and some sculptures as we walk around.

Wowza! Look at all the RSVPs! I'm excited to see all of you. Please give me some suggestions on where you'd like to start our walk. Also, my 15 year old son has agreed to model for us and I'm on the lookout for a few more volunteers, if you know any bring them with you, if not we'll be shooting each other!

Could I suggest meeting a the Michigan Union? Walking around campus is easy with great subjects. The bonus is that if it's cold, we can go shoot inside the Union, fishbowl, or my fav. the new school of Business

I think M. Solo's suggestion is a good one. Easy access to many good areas.

There is a winter walkabout at LaFurge Woods that day at 2. If you want to mix winter landscape with a casual hike and candids of people strolling into the preserve.

I like both Michael and Diane's ideas but I think I'm going to keep it urban and outside to stay true to the Natural Light Title. The last walk I hosted we were at and around Michigan Union so I want to keep it fresh with a new location. Updated the post with the location.

I do have 3 high school students and my 20 year old niece who are willing to pose for us. They are not models, but are willing to donate their time!

I was unable to make this event, it would be great to have something organized like this in the future. Your pretty much guaranteed to have a lot of interest, especially as the weather warms up.

This was the very first time I was exposed to this type of shooting and I think I am hooked; I really appreciated everyones help in setting up the models and just how nice and open everyone was. A huge thanks to the models who endured us and the elements of the February chill.

I had a great time - thanks to our wonderful models! They did such an amazing job. A few more of these, and they should have their modeling portfolios all but complete.
