I've always had cameras since I was a kid and loved taking photos. Several years ago, I became interested in photo editing when I received Photoshop Elements bundled with a scanner I bought. Once I became good at editing photos, I decided I should get a better camera and learn to take better photos. I bought my first dSLR and took a couple courses in 2007, and have since upgraded to better gear.
Canon 5D Mark II . My favorite lenses are Canon EF[masked]mm f/4 L IS and Canon EF 85mm f/1.8.
Portraiture, landscape, nature, urban exploration and old barns.
I would like my camera settings to become second nature to me and to consistenly take well-exposed, sharp images. I want to become more proficient with lighting, particularly studio lighting and modifiers.
I came across meetup.com while searching for something else.
I live in a rural area between Munith and Pleasant Lake. I've been married over 40 years with grown kids and grandkids. I'm retired from a career in Human Resources & since 2008, a freelance author for Photoshop Elements Techniques magazine/website.
This event was so much fun. Thank you for hosting this at your studio, Christy. And thanks to the beautiful models we photographed.
