How long have you enjoyed photography? What got you into it?

I started with a Pentax K1000 in 1986 on a trip out west and have loved it ever since.

What kind of camera do you use, and what is your favorite lens?

I have a Nikon D7000, Nikon[masked], Tokina 100mm macro, and before summer I plan to get a Sigma 10-20mm for a trip to Yosemite.

What type of photography do you most enjoy (e.g. portraiture, landscape, macro, street photography, nature, candid, etc.)?

I most enjoy nature & outside photography, and if it's warm outside, all the Florida winter birds.

How would you like to improve your photography? What are your goals?

I would like to become more accomplished at taking photos outside of the auto & scenic modes and i think practice is what's needed for that and i think the meet-ups offer opportunities for practice that i wouldn't otherwise be aware of or take advantage of by myself.

How did you hear about our group?

I came across Rochester Photography group somehow and then searched for an Ann Arbor group since I live i Ann Arbor.

I love to travel and take pictures... of landscapes, animals, birds, flowers, interesting or old architecture, etc. Photography is my hobby, not my living, although that would be wonderful.
