Since 1963 when my father gave me a Twin-lens Kodak Duaflex II and taught me the basics. Learning to compose images upside down and backwards is akin to learning graphic drawing before CAD. Theories practiced tend to stick with you regardless of how the technology changes.
Nikon D90. In film days my favorite lens was the 105mm f2.8 MicroNikkor.
