Ann Arbor Shutterbugs (Photography) Message Board New Meetup Ideas! › Wolf Park Meetup

Wolf Park Meetup

Patrick H.
Canton, MI
Who: You if you are intested

What: Shooting wolves (with our cameras)

When: 13 Oct 2013

Where: Wolf Park 4004 East 800 North, Battle Ground, IN

This is a little different than our normal events, but I am planning on going and was wondering if any other of members were interested. There is a substantial cost ($295) to participate in addition to your travel costs, but it is for the venue (as you can see in this link) and no additional cost to members.

If there is enough interest, I will post this on the meetup site, if there is a lot of interest, 10 people, we can get our own private day on a different date.

From their website:

Our socialized wolves will allow photographers to get close enough to touch them, so there will be many opportunities for portraits and closeups. Our staff photographer will guide you through good photo opportunities and have the wolves "pose" for you. There will also be opportunity for "candid" and action photographs as well. Any camera, from professional to disposable, is acceptable; if you have the option, a 28-300 mm lens seems to work well. Bring LOTS of film!!

Participants must be 18 years of age, wearing long pants and closed- toed shoes, no earrings or perfume, to enter the wolf enclosure. No tripods are allowed; the wolves like to chew on them. [snip]  Photo shoots are held in light snow and in drizzle, so bring protection for your camera.
