very nice, Patrick. The water looks so ethereal.

Wow! Unbelievable shot. If heaven exists, it would look something like this! :-) What kind of editing did you do here? I would love to see different colors - the layering effect!

Thanks Alekhya for your kind remarks! For this image, I cropped a small portion of a larger image and simply made it black and white using a high contrast red filter. The water was mostly black and white anyway since the long exposure created that milky, creamy texture. Editing took maybe 1 minute.

Hi Patrick! What ND filters do you use? What would you recommend for shooting a long exposure shot like this?

For this shot, I used the Big Stopper Lee filter for the Lee Seven5 system: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/906616-REG/lee_filters_s5bs_75_x_90mm_seven5.html/?m=Y&gclid=CPHW3Y_i178CFQIIaQodLQ0AEA

Honestly, I use the Lee and B+W ND filters and have not quite decided which I prefer. Even though expensive, the real value of the Lee are the graduated (hard and soft) ND filters since you can adjust the horizon line. If you don't plan on using graduated filters, the B+W may work - just be sure to get a filter for your largest lens and get step up converters so that filter will work on smaller lenses (e.g. my largest lens is 67mm so I have a converter so it will fit on my 58mm and 52mm lenses). In terms of quality, both are top notch.

And if you were planning on going to Hocking Hills in early October, we can practice since it will be a great long exposure (and macro) environment.
