I will be at the Market House by 10:00 wearing a red jacket and can be reached at[masked]-1774.
As many of you know, the counterpart to Hanging of the Greens (HOG) is the Downing of the Browns (DOB), where we go through the city taking down the many decorations we helped install weeks earlier. Unlike HOG, this is much less labor / time intensive and with enough people, we can be done by lunch time. So if you have a grudge against the holiday season or just a mildly destructive personality, this is the event for you. Some greens require wire cutters and a ladder, bust most of it is just yanked down and piled by the garbage.
I'm thinking we can meet at 10:00 AM at the Market House and work our way uptown (maybe ending at Stan and Joe's?). I realize this is a Sunday at the end of most peoples' holiday vacation, but the greens will be very brown by then and need to come down. Again, this is a simple and fun event so I hope to see a lot of you there. (we should be done before any football games start)
