The annual Maryland Seafood Festival will be taking place on the weekend of Sept. 10 & 11th. The Annapolis Jaycees will once again be running our Tiki Bar serving oyster shooters and funnel cakes and are looking for some good volunteers to help throughout the weekend. In addition to all the great food, this years entertainment includes national acts Cowboy Mouth and Steel Magnolia, which should help increase attendance and provide a lively atmosphere. By coming out to support the Jaycees you are also helping to support the Annapolis community. Most recently we have sent care packages to Afghanistan, Habitat for Humanity, Anne Arundel Special Olympics, and upcoming food baskets to families that need it most in time for the holiday season. Happily, all we ask of volunteers is to come out for a shift 9-1, 12:30-4:30, 5-10. If you can only come out for a few hours that don't fit into one of those shifts. . . of course that's okay! While working you will enjoy music, fun people and a keg that will be refilled throughout the day. We have passes, so you won't have to pay to come and enjoy yourself the rest of the day. This is a great time and a lot of fun. If you haven't come out for an event before this is a great way to meet a lot of new people.
