Our guest speaker will be prominent Washington, D.C. business attorney, Mr. Peter M. Bloom, Esq., The Bloom Group, LLC. Mr. Bloom has several years of experience in acting as general counsel to emerging and mid-stage companies, providing strategic advice as well as guidance regarding corporate law, contracts, tax, intellectual property protection, financing, and labor & employment law. Mr. Bloom also has extensive experience as a member and key advisor to the Board of Directors of many companies, advising them on corporate, finance, and fiduciary issues.

Mr. Bloom is also a highly skilled transactional lawyer, having handled mergers and acquisitions, stock and asset purchases, technology transfers, recapitalizations and other corporate reorganizations, venture capital investments, as well as bank debt transactions and other financial and strategic transactions.

Mr. Bloom is a frequent author and lecturer on various aspects of corporate law and transactional matters, such as on business planning and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Bloom is also a member of Washington VentureMentors, an executive peer group providing advice and counsel to early-stage companies seeking venture capital funding and strategic guidance.

Mr. Bloom is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, and has law degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Connecticut School of Law.
