Non-denominational Buddhist meditation classes and retreats led by Rev. Hye Wol Sunim, a Sri Lankan monk ordained in two Buddhist traditions. Sunim is a very personable, friendly, and down to earth guy. The meditation meetups can meet in someone's home in the Palmdale area, or at Sunim's home in Pearblossom.  Persons can be of any belief or faith, as long as they also have a sincere respect for what the Buddha taught 2,500 years ago.

The meetup will follow a format of 25 minutes of meditation, followed by 40 minutes of dharma talk (Buddhist teaching about Meditation,) ending with another 25 minutes of meditation. Informal mingling over tea afterwards for another 20 minutes is optional.  There are enough cushions for paticipants. Chairs will be available as well for those who don't like to sit on a cushion.

There is no charge for these classes. A  donation if  paticipants can afford, will be appreciated. There are other meditation classes held by Rev. Hye wol Sunim in Chatsworth, Altadena, Westwood, Parlos verdes and Los Feliz.  There is a new meditation class in Lancaster on second and fourth Wednesdays at 6.30 pm.For more information on this class, please call Rev. Hye Wol Sunim at 818 768 4031. Rev. Hye Wol Sunim also organizes day or half day meditation work shops in the Anelope valley area.

Sunim is in the helping professions, being a monk, so don't hesitate to call him to get some counseling also if you are participating in his meditation classes / Dharma talks.
