Join us for an exciting talk on the the evolution of 3D printing and the human angle on its affect on distributed manufacturing. Our 2 speakers are:
- Francis Jervis is a doctoral student in the Media, Culture and Communications program at NYU, working on the relationship between 3D printing, design and cultural processes. His research integrates perspectives from anthropological theory, ethnography and experimental archaeology.
- Janet Lieberman is a mechanical engineer who graduated from MIT in 2007. She has designed 3D printers at Makerbot Industries, MindsInSync Inc., and Quixotic Systems.
We'll have presentations by our speakers followed by audience Q&A and then free-form mingling and networking with free wine!
