For most of my life, I have written songs. I have filled many journals with personal prose and poetry. For 12 years, I've been attending "Thursday Writers" where we write to prompts for about 15 minutes and share our pieces without critique. In that group, I've written a lot about my experiences as a counselor. However, lately, I have found myself writing fictional vignettes with on-going characters who are developing an interesting relationship. Seems like I might be writing a story.
I write about three times a week on average.
I recently moved to Leucadia and want to connect with other writers in this area.
Let's ring a bell Where grief and hatred fell Into the mystery's abyss And we'll light a flame For every unknown name And forgive our mortal failings With a kiss
I am a high-school counselor, singer-songwriter, and a long-time member of "Thursday Writers" (part of SD Writers Ink). I've been writing for many years but just recently realized that I'd like to write something longer than 300 words.
