Hi, I'm Gregg. I grew up in North County and got a degree in Communications from UCSD. "I know! It's phony major. I learned nothing, nothing!"--Simpsons joke. So, I've decided to fall back on my story writing which I've done my whole life.
Sci-Fi and Fantasy with a heavy emphasis on the humanity of my characters.
I try to write at least an hour a day on the computer but I'm always writing in my head 24/7.
The Speculative Fiction writing group I've been in for the past couple of years recently came to an end. A new one is in the midst of reforming from its ashes. In the meantime, a friend from my old group said I should check out this one.
I have 2 novels I'm writing. The one I'm currently working on is a near future tale about a 40 yr. old man who buys a lifelike robot girlfriend and the impacts she has on him and society.

Glad you are coming to the book fest!
Please send me a check asap to cover your spot ($40) to A Word with You Press, 802 South Tremont St. Oceanside 92054.
I am sure you have checked details on our website, but don't know if I mentioned that on the way up we will use the p.a. system for a rolling open mic, so bring a few pages of something you have written you would to share.
See you at the wednesday meetup at hq?
Hiya, Gregg. Welcome to the Merry Band. But perhaps you mistake us for some other group with a GP-13 rating that meets in a public library somewhere in Arkansas? Several of our members have been mistaken for having Tourette Syndrome. The 7 Words You Cannot Say on TV is our dictionary. I mean, why the fuck would a grownup writer preemptively edit "steamy bits" from his work? Perhaps you intend to put all the steam into one long story to wow us with? Clever. ;-)
Thanks for your kind words, Gregg. Can't wait to hear your stories of France. One of my favorite places. If I spoke French, I would live there! Linda
