Dear Thorn:
I am not going to be able to make Andrea's seminar on October 30th, after all.
We have just discovered a significant water leak and I am going to have to stick around the house with contractors over the weekend.
Please keep me in mind for future events.

Appreciatively yours,
Kimberly Vargas

Hello friends

This is a belated thank you to all who helped us celebrate our anniversary and The First Annual Oceanside Arts Clash held here last Saturday, October 8th.

If you missed out, this article in the Coast News gives you some idea of what you missed:

I also want to let you know we still have room in our workshop on October 30th.  Award winning writer Andrea Glass will be teaching how to write an ebook.  The class is limited to ten, to allow lots of interaction with your instructor, and while everyone will walk away with the knowledge of how to get yourself out there, one person will walk away with a Barnes and Noble NOOK, raffled off to the attendees.  You've got one chance in ten of winning.

Feeling lucky?  Here are details:

Our site is undergoing a major overhaul, so please bear with us as we get into the fine tuning. Please give us some feedback about our new site; what works for you and what doesn't.

We have a new contest, with the prize being a Barnes and Noble Nook.  Details here:

We are also casting about for an intern to manage/edit our sister website This is our free program for young writers, which promises them that they will become published authors in an anthology with their peers after completing an eight-week session. If you live locally and can volunteer some time for this, we would be so grateful.

We have two author events coming up at the Oceanside Public Library.  On October 18th at 6 pm our friend Victor Villasenor will be reading from his newest book, Lion Eyes,
and on Saturday, October 29th at 3 pm, our own frequent visitor Stephen Prosapio will read and discuss his novel Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum.  Both events are in the Civic Center room of the library, located at 330 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside.

With Christmas on the way, why not give everyone who has been naughty and/or nice a book from our store? Easy to do--just visit our store once you're on our site.

And here's a news flash!  Our services are actually expanding at a greater rate than the ego of the editor-in-chief(that would be moi).  We now offer web design in addition to publishing and editorial services.  Email Morgan at [address removed] for a quote.

Hope this finds you well, and you come for a visit to our HQ in Oceanside or on line.  As always, please broadcast this message on your own facebook and social media outlets.  Thanks!
