First and foremost, I personally added every name to the list of those who are receiving this, which has given my cause to remember my connection with each of you. Some personally, and some only on line with the common interest in sharing the written word. For those of you who know me well, please forgive what must seem impersonal in an email that will reach over a thousand people. If you can find the time to communicate to me, I will respond in kind with great pleasure. For those of you that I don't know well, I would love to change that.
A Word with You Press has managed to survive since 2009 with the simple belief that people have stories to tell, and need a forum from which to broadcast them. It may have been haphazard, but we still provide a conduit for you to share your stories with the world.
We are now (meaning moi!) in Moscow, Idaho in what I hope will be a permanent location. This is a university town and I expect we will do quite well here. To encourage those of you who have strayed from the website and the activities we offer, we are currently sponsoring a contest with a prize of $500.
The contest is in honor of Peggy Dobbs, who did not discover the real pleasure of writing until her late seventies, Those of you who remained faithful to the site are aware that she recently took a job in heaven editing the bible, no doubt. She is loved and missed, and she inspired the prompt for our contest: "I swear, it's not too late."
Can you write 750 or 1,000 words to that prompt? I would love to put your story on line. Here are the details:
We would be delighted to hear from you, and remember that we are a full service publisher of award winning poetry and fiction--even a Pulitzer Prize winner! We'd be happy to discuss publishing your work under our banner, which now flies over Moscow!

Make friends with other creative misfits just as endearingly odd as you! Drink wine. Wear black berets. Carry a beat up paperback copy of The Brothers Karamazov wherever you go. All writers -- and should-be writers -- are welcome!
