Do you believe racism has been eradicated?

No, I believe that it has just morphed. People are always prejudiced but hide many of their feelings.

Do you believe that whiteness plays a role in racism?

Do you have a favorite author/blogger/musician/artist/ film/etc. focusing on racism? Why?

Ralph Ellison's book "Invisible Man" was very interesting to me because it calls into question the feeling of disillusionment felt by African American's. The main character doesn't feel as though he is physically invisible but rather he notices the refusal of others to see him. It is a very moving story.

My name is Carolina Almonte. I am a recent graduate of Boston University and will be attending law school in the fall. I am a CCI Civil Rights intern for the summer!
