Tommy O's has been recommended a couple of times, so let's meet there Tuesday for Happy Hour. UPDATE: We will be meeting in the lounge. Here's a link to their menu for those with dietary restrictions:
Once a month, the Mt. St. Helen's Institute presents a lecture from their Volcano Views and Brews program in the lounge at Tommy O's. This month's lecture is entitled "Hiking Washington's History." It will be presented by Judy Bentley, author of "Hiking Washington's History" and will begin at 6:30. Here is the description courtesy of the Mt. St. Helen's Institute website:
"Judy Bentley is a writer and historian who hiked and researched more than 60 historic trails in Washington. Her book, Hiking Washington’s History, includes 40 of the most compelling hikes from around the state, ranging from short day trips to multi-day backpacks, from Cape Flattery to Chief Joseph’s Summer Trail. Her slide-talk will feature historic hikes around Mt. St. Helens as well as highlights of other regions, answering the questions, “Who walked here before?” and “Why is this trail here?” Bentley teaches at South Seattle Community College and is the author of 15 other books."
Because those arriving for the lecture early tend to raise the noise level of the venue, I have decided on a cozier RSVP cap for this event.
