Note from Tom Grant;

The long dry summer is over, so indoors I go for some thoughts about upcoming...what else...gigs!

We are delighted that the Jam session at Tommy O's has been so busy, and forthcoming of new amazing talent. People like young singer Craig Irby who seems to be channeling Sinatra and Bobby Darrin, singing ballads and swing with the ease of the great masters themselves. The long-time pros like singer Toni Lincoln, trumpet player Paul Mazzio and Saxophonists Tim Jensen and Warren Rand have come along too, lighting a fire under those young ones. And starting this Sunday the 14th, Tommy's will be doing happy hour prices all day every Sunday! We start at 6:30pm and go until we're tired. (not really...ends at 9:30).

    Tom Grant started off with a Disney classis ala Dave Brubeck, Some Day My Prince May Come followed by My Romance and Sting's,Fragile.
    Then special guest Tony Lincoln sang a Bossanova, One Note Samba, Come Rain Or Come Shine and a Billy Holliday tune, Oh, Oh, Oh What A Little Moonlight Can Do.
    After the break, Tony sang a beautiful ballad, Someone To Watch Over Me & September in The Rain. Next Manny Meyer on guitar played Grazing In The Grass. Jazzman David Watson cut loose with It's Over Now & Nobody Loves Me. Val O'Dell sang A Night In Tunisa & Moonray, followed by Richard Arnold singing The More I See You and Unforgettable.
