Cascadia Wild presentation: Nettle and its many uses

Cascadia Wild is having their monthly Naturalist Skills Community Night and the topic for the night is Nettle!

This is a free event, but donations to Cascadia Wild, which is a Non-profit org, will be greatly appreciated!

Stinging nettle is the queen of the mint family and has a long history as medicine, food, and cordage. How well do you know Sister Stinging Nettle? This will be an informative night with former fearmonger turned avid fan, Marion Warfield. There will be a discussion about this amazing Pacific Northwest plant and ways to prepare it. Spring is a ritual time for gathering of the greens. Let's welcome spring with a toast to your health and a round of nettle tea. And maybe a treat of nettle quiche!

Excellent class! I love learning more about nettles. The nettle quiche was delish as well as the nettle brandy tincture and teas. Thanks Peter for organizing another cool outing.

I've been taking freeze-dried nettle capsules for many years to keep my allergies under control every spring. Would like to learn more about this amazing plant.
