Free Friday @ Portland Art Musuem

Portland Art Musuem offers a free Friday entrance. It usually costs $15 dollars. Lets go check out some cool art for free and then go
have dinner somewhere after. Meet outside at the statue of Teddy Roosevelt riding his horse right in front of art museum entrance on the sw park blocks. I will have a meetup sign and my phone on[masked]-8423. This is a great art musuem! Meet back outside at 7:30 at Teddy Roosevelt statue and we will decide where to walk for dinner. This is the statue right in front of art musuem on SW Park blocks.

Ha! was on my way to meet at 6 (my first Meet up!) when I had to turn around and pick up my son. Suddenly there wasn't enough time to get there, park and meet the group. Then a friend I had invited to come with me called and said she and her date wanted to go too! So too late to go with the Any Ones, but early enough to get there before closing - I watched the crowd trying to guess who was Any One! The show was amazing. Hope you all had fun regardless of not being able to actually do it as a group thing. Looking forward to meeting up with this Meet Up for some other event soon!

The Samurai Exhibit still has a few weeks to run, correct? Didn't make it yesterday, and didn't make it to the movie I was supposed to be at (sick with a cold),.

Just looked on the museum's website, and the Samurai exhibit runs until 1/12/14.

Really enjoyed the Samuri showing. This kind of event was not very good for a group. Everyone moves at their own speed. I met up with several people but everyone quickly dispursed once we got inside and started looking at the displays. I was glad I found out about it and went.

it's tough to stay in a group at the museum, the inside part of the event is usually go on your own, then if people want to have dinner after, that is a better social part of the event

This was a great event, but I couldn't find anyone from the group so met with a different meet u[ group that I had nothing in common with. I didn't go to the Samuri room, but I saw most of the upstairs I didn't have anywhere near enough time I could probably could go another 2 times in hopes of seeing the rest. I did like the motion sensored instrument on the second floor I will have to experiment with it some when my shoulder heals.

PAM was great, wish I had more time to see more exhibits. I couldn't find anyone else from Meetup, though, so that was a bummer.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
