Join us at my favorite Indian restaurant for some good dinner. They have really good authentic North and South Indian dishes.

Check out the menu at Lentil Gardens website - http://www.lentilgarden.com ;

We will order a la carte, unless we will have 18 or more people signed up, in which case the restaurant has agreed to prepare a dinner buffet for our group. Stay tuned if this will work out! The estimated cost of the dinner buffet should be around $ 14 (still needs to be confirmed - I will update, once its firm)

Please only sign up if you are sure that you will be able to attend.

If you are interested, join us for a Bollywood movie night afterwards: http://www.meetup.com/Anyone-Can-Join/events/146354162/

    I found the quality of the food to be exceptional. Fabulous sauces! We just overwhelmed them with shear numbers. Nice to meet everyone!

    I also talk to the gentleman in charge, and wrote them an email advising them of posting a sign above the buffet. I rather enjoyed the food and the front of the house staff was very cordial! Nice choice NPR! Too bad Bollywood Theatre on Alberta is so busy and parking is random.

    "Please Take A Clean Plate Before Each Trip To The Buffet." One never know if the person who is returning to the buffet line, with their soiled plate, has a communicable disease or illness, which can be transmitted from saliva from their fork, to the plate, to the utensil used on the buffet line to load their plate & then back into the buffet pan.
    It is pure SAFETY and the law, to always take a clean plate each time you visit a salad bar or buffet line. Now you know why I asked you not to use your dirty plate!
    OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY DIVISION 150 Oregon Food Sanitation Rules - Public Health (J) Consumers are notified that clean tableware (plates) are to be used when they return to self-service areas such as salad bars and buffets as specified under § 3-304.16. [masked] Using Clean Tableware for Second Portions & Refills. (C) of this section, self-service consumers may not be allowed to use soiled tableware, to obtain additional food from the display and serving equipment.

      Kurt, I am sure you can put on a better event, pick a better place, at a cheaper rate, etc! I will be the first one to sign up for it! If you need help posting it let me know, and I will lend a helping hand!

    Very nice meeting meeting the folks I did. That part was great, and it was fun. However, the idea of going to a buffet that mostly didn't have any food was comic relief.

    All I know is right now, I am pretty hungry, and having an adequately, or maybe even a semi-adequately supplied buffet would have been nice. i did get 2 small pieces of chicken with the chicken curry-it was really good=though a bit of a teaser. Fortunately, in Portland a $14 meal usually gets you a pretty good meal-just not tonight... I'd say their profit margin was pretty darn good as well.

      Kurt, I did give them some feedback. Instead of being negative, patience is more appreciated, when we have 33 people from one group taking over the restaurant and we had only 2 waiters. Indian dishes are not fast to make like some thing at the to-go lines at McD or Taco Bell. I am sure, you can find other places in Portland where you can get more quantity but quality also maters. We had a lot more non vegetarians this time, usually we have a balance and the kitchen can keep up. The dinner buffet was a special group deal and not regular lunch ones where they make things in bulk. They have some assumptions based on past experiences. The kitchen was still making stuff non stop, trying to keep up and refilling. There were few people who let me know they liked the food a lot, perhaps this event is not for you Kurt.

    Excellent turnout for the dinner. Unfortunately they were unprepared for such a large group and ran out of food before all were served. Food was tasty and the staff was pleasant & cordial.

    I am very sorry, but I will be unable to attend this event, due to a family emergency - I hope you all enjoy your food and time at Lentil Garden!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
