Sockeye Sawtooth Alt-Country Live Music/Dancing & Drinks

First Friday Art Crawl is this Friday on SE Stark near the Montavilla Station, try browsing some of the galleries and shops in the neighborhood, check out Sue's shop called the Maven Collective, fill up on some local snacks and wine, then pop over to Montavilla for some free live music!

Montavilla Station is an awesome bar in SE Portland Montavilla Neighborhood. It is just east of Mt. Tabor on SE 80th and Stark St. They have great beers on tap (Jubelale) Free Live music, (NO COVER), Pinball, Pool Tables, and Shuffle board. Sockeye Sawtooth plays original. Alt-Country Rock and 70's Classic Rock Covers. The Station is a historic site and used to be where the old street trolley ran. This bar is nice and has plenty of space. Go to a movie at the Academy Theater before the show ($4), or get a great Pizza at Flying Pie Pizza just down the street 2 blocks away (my favorite: The Stromboli!) or try the Country Cat for some awesome tasty NW cuisine! Then pop on over to the Montavilla Station for some great rock and roll and drinks! There is usually a special guest or two, never know who's gonna show up! This month Dave Norman from Wasila Alaska is sitting in on lead guitar and vocals while Don Baker is playing at a festival in Cuba. Dave is the front man of the rock band Coho!

Dave Norman special guest rockin at the Station last show!

That is MAMA YAMA bringing some soulful sultry blues!

Hi Everyone, this sounds great! Just an FYI, I'm part owner of a store in Montavilla. Maven Collective, right across from Flying Pie Pizza. First Friday is that day. Go early if you can and visit some of the great shops and restaurants on SE Stark St. Its a wonderful neighborhood thats really starting to bloom. Most of the shops will be having specials and or treats. The restaurants mentioned are really good, another is The observatory.

this sounds great! Will anyone going to dance a little country there? I love country (the newer kind) as I grew up in the southwest!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
