Soccer Balls to Djibouti, Africa - Fundraiser HH

Operation Outreach! On Deck Sports Bar & Grill, Widmer Bros. Brewing and Captain Morgan are supporting this cause.  Those donating for a bracelet will be invited to a VIP reception with hosted beverages, and be entered into a drawing for a Captain Morgan Lounge Chair.
Here is my cause:

I have had a special request by Military personnel to help spread Soccer Balls to the poor and underprivileged children to the area which is known as the Horn of Africa. They have been hit hard with drought for several years and living conditions are horrible which you can see in the video, here is the link:

My contact is named Danielle and she is stationed at Camp Lemonier and her team is able to outreach to children in over 6,000 square miles and is able to distribute 100's and 100's of balls. So I made it a personal goal to get 300 balls to her. I have a few sponsors to help me. I have the cost of the silicone bracelets (which I will explain in a minute) sponsored and good Nike/Adidas Soccer Balls at cost here locally. I am working with the Army on free shipping and am working on another sponsor for some pumps to go with the balls as they will be shipped flattened.

My idea is simple, one silicone bracelet which says "I Made a Difference" with a small Soccer Ball next to it and then on the back, “Djibouti, Africa“. The cost of a Soccer Ball is $10. For a $10 donation, people will receive a bracelet and know that they have impacted the life of 10 African children. My estimation is that for every one ball that goes to Africa will benefit 10 children. So my goal of 300 balls will benefit 3,000 very needy and appreciative African children.

Plus it is hump day and what a way to come out and socialize, celebrate the work week is half over and support a great cause!  This will be a Multi-Meetup event.

No worries folks about a big party! This is being heavily advertised off Meetup as well. It's going to be a great time and if you are a Portland Timbers fan or Timbers Army member or fan you will see alot of people.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
