So this must be the most over-elaborate way of making some friends that live near me ever, but oh well, thought I'd give it a shot. From past experience of living in London, I know that city life is infinitely more fun when you have friends living close by. Advantages are: - you get a sense of community - you can randomly arrange to do things on the day rather than planning days/weeks in advance (proximity shouldn't make a difference I know, but for some reason it does) - you can walk to each other - no cabbing or subbing! So I'd like to have a good group of friends wherever I lay down my hat...and it just so happens that I've laid down my hat smack bang in the middle of one of the best parts of one of the best city in the world - LES :-) So if you live nearby and want to make friends in the neighborhood please join! Things you can look forward to: - Exploring the many many...many bars in the area - Exploring the many many...many restaurants in the area - Going to many excellent live music venues in the area - Trips to the local indie cinema - Brunches - Regular house parties hosted by yours truly in the heart of LES - Some excursions over the border to Williamsburg (to show our Brooklyn cousins how to party) - Hanging out at Tompkins Sq park in summer playing frisbee or soccer - Calling each other up on lazy Sunday afternoons and saying 'sup. PLEASE BE 18-35 years old, fun, social, ideally single but that's not really a problem - this isn't meant to be a dating group, and live in the area (NoLita/LES/East Village). Cheers!
