Click this linkI am an out-of-towner looking for some local buddies to go with me on a trip of approximately 7miles to view the cherry blossom trees and the visible monuments on the route. I'm traveling alone and would love it if anyone who wants to join would. The more the merrier. I can be flexible with the time if need be. Please join me.

I Blake, (your self designated semi-illustrious leader) am taking the liberty to add some additional information. I would suggest everyone meet at the Thompson Boat House on the Potomac at the intersection of Rock Creek Parkway and Virginia Ave (See map above, or click the Thompson Boat Center (TBC) Name above) Click this link for more information about TBC. It is highly recommend you RESERVE (<-- Click Link) your boat ahead of time. TBC will not rent kayaks if the water is below 55 degrees. To see the current water temperature, click HERE. If the water is still too cold by April 18th, then I recommend bicycle riding. Bikes can be rented at Thompson Boat Center as well. Again, check the water temp the day before, and rent accordingly. I am letting Elizabeth lead this one, as I will not be able to attend because of work commitments. Elizabeth will meet you in the Parking Lot at TBC, and she is driving a Black Chevy Tahoe with a Green Kayak and she will be excited to meet you all there! Show time is 11:00 AM. PLease be on time, as TBC does not hold reservations, therefore the group will leave you and go floating into the blossoms without you! Thanks everyone for participating, let's show Elizabeth some good DC Hospitality while she is in town! Oh, and lastly... If you cannot show up PLEASE remove yourself from the RSVP list or change your RSVP. This really kills our group page if you don't RSVP appropriately!
PS Please note ELizabeth will still be kayaking on the potomac REGARDLESS of water temperature. So, if you have your own boat, then you have someone to boat with. If you do not have a boat, and the H2O temp is cold, then you can rent a bike :)
