18th Annual Bradwell Bay Swamp Stomp RESCHEDULED.

Slog about 8 miles through the Apalachicola

National Forest's Bradwell Bay Wilderness.

The trail passes through old-growth timber

in one of the largest swamp forests in Florida.

With normal rain, expect wading in ankle-to-knee

water for over half the hike.

    Hello Swamp Stompers,

    We look forward to you joining us tomorrow, Saturday March 30, on the 18th Annual Bradwell Bay Swamp Stomp. We will meet at 7:45 AM at the Park 'n Ride lot on S. Monroe just south of the fairgrounds and north of Gaile Ave between Monroe and Adams Streets. We'll be me Pat V. Hardee's in Crawfordville at 8:30 and Mary M. and Kevin S. at the Monkey Creek trailhead at 9:00. After shuttling vehicles, we will be hike about 8 miles beginning from Bradwell Bay West Trailhead on FR 314 and hiking east to the Monkey Creek Trailhead on FR 329. We should be done around 4:30 to 5:00 PM. and back to Tallahassee around 5:30 PM. There is a description of the Wilderness Area and a map you can download at: Thomas Smith will be co-leading the hike.
