Ski Day At Camelback

I had a good number of positive responses for Friday. So Friday is now our next ski day!

Weekdays offer short or no lift lines and no crowds. We meet in front of the Sullivan lift at 9 AM to catch first tracks down the mountain. Later arrivals can contact us by cell phone. With no waiting to get back on the lift, we usually ski until we are too tired. That may be anytime in the afternoon.

It's probably too late in the season to cut your lift ticket cost with a Camel Card. But it is the best deal offered. For bargain lift ticket prices purchase a Camel Card for $49 and get weekday half price lift tickets for $25.50 each with every third ticket free. Go 3 times for $100 and 3 more for $51! If you are purchasing a Camel Card, please arrive extra early and go to skier services. The date of this Meetup may change based on weather and conditions. Please check this page for the latest status. NOTE: As an AMC activity, downhill skiing is considered a social activity. This is because we will be at a place of public accommodation. There is no AMC release of liability sheet to sign. Your liability release wavier is your lift ticket. As a social activity the AMC assumes no liability for the risks associated with this activity and participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety while skiing.

Hi Ski Folks, I had a great time. To bad the conditions deteriorated so quickly after lunch. As requested, we will shoot for next Friday again. Keep in mind that warmer temperatures are expected next week. So let's hope that we have a good ole Nor-Easter on Wednesday with lots of snow. As for the Camelback web site, when they only say "machine groomed" they are avoiding saying loose granular. So if we go on Friday, be there at 9 am to get the most skiing while the groomed surface is still there. I'll post it to Meetup on Monday evening.
See to understand trail condition terms better.

Fun day with a good group. A bit warm and mushy but we still managed to have fun. Thanks Rich for organizing!

In addition to Camel card, $199 Value pass for next year is available, and you can use it now.
