Ski Day At Camelback

Our next ski day is expected to be this Friday! Be prepared for a very cold, but sunny day. The overnight low calls for -1 and that does not include any wind chill. The high is forecast as 15! If conditions get worse or if the lift operations will be effected, I’ll cancel. So please check on the latest status.

We will meet in front of the Sullivan lift at 9 AM to catch first tracks down the mountain. Later arrivals can contact us by cell phone. With no waiting to get back on the lift, we usually ski until we are too tired. That may be anytime in the afternoon. But you may stay as long as you like.If you have purchased a Camel Card on line, please arrive extra early and go to skier services to get your card and your first lift ticket.

The date of this ski day may change based on weather and conditions. Please check this page for the latest status.

NOTE: As an AMC activity, downhill skiing is considered a social activity. This is because we will be at a place of public accommodation. There is no AMC release of liability sheet to sign. Your liability release wavier is your lift ticket. As a social activity the AMC assumes no liability for the risks associated with this activity and participants are ultimately responsible for their own safety while skiing.

Packed powder delight! Good conditions, a brilliant sunny day and good folks to ski with. The Nile Mile was an excellent cruising run. King Tut and the others were real nice. The Pharaoh was the only disappointment with its ice balls. Ahh, but yes, it could have been a bit warmer. But that doesn't seem to matter anymore. The memories are warm.

Would have given the meetup "five stars" if temps were a little warmer. Five-star skiers, though. Thanks for a great day!

I will probably ski only until about 1pm tomorrow so I have enough time before plans later in the evening. Rich, I'll do my best to be on time for getting out there at 9am!
