It's A Bug's Life! Program and Concert for Kids and Families

Join local songwriter and troubador Miss Maggie and park educator Ranger Ian for a funfilled morning all about bugs!

First learn about amazing insect body parts and habitats with Ranger Ian, and discover which weighs more... all the elephants in the world or all the bugs?

Then sing, play, and clap along as we explore the natural world and insects with Miss Maggie as she performs songs from her Backyard Bugs and Mother Earth shows.

After the show, learn great ways you and your family can get out and have fun in the great wide world with Delaware Canal State Park and Appalachian Mountain Club this Spring and Summer.

Hope to see you there!!!

This Nature/Nurture Center is absolutely fantastic. I've been there for abou 3--4 events already, and I'm in love w/ this place. I know you already have the schedule set up, but have you considered bringing in Mondjack Bee farms rep to talk about the "bees", their importance to not just the insect world and environment, but our food supply? He did a great talk a couple of weeks ago, and I think he'd really be a great focus of interest for kids.

Great idea RJ. For this program we've got our time filled, but that's a great suggestion for a future program. I'll pass it along to Nurture Nature!

Mondjack was actually there at the Center a few weeks ago; just thought it would be a great opportunity to combine talks. Maybe another option for them sooner than later! :D

Come early or stay after... Easton has an awesome indoor farmers market less than a block from the concert. Open 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday. More info at
