Meet at the McDonalds Parking area on York road In Jamison, PA at 10:15 AM. We will then consolidate the number of cars and carpool to the small parking area at trailhead. The trail runs for about 1 mile along the Neshaminy Creek and is rutted and muddy in spots with possible brambles so please wear appropriate footwear. It starts out at the old Iron Bridge and ends at the 8 Arch Bridge which is the oldest bridge of this type of architecture still in existence in PA. The trail is out and back so the total length will be about 1.5-2 miles ( 1 hour). After our hike, we will drive South on York Rd. to Hartsville, PA (about 1+/- miles) to the Moland House.
The Moland House was used by General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. It is reported to be the first place that Betsy Ross's flag was displayed. Our tour begins at Noon. However, from 1-4 there is an open house scheduled with period reenactors. Families with young children are encouraged to participate. 1B1.5
