Thursday Evening Hike @ Valley Forge (3C6)

Our return to VFNP from mid-Spring to mid-Summer! Please join us for a fast-paced six-mile evening hike at Valley Forge National Park. Meet at Washington's HQ parking lot. Please be there at 6.15 pm. Heels up 6.30 pm. Please be on time. Optional refreshment stop afterwards. Well behaved, people friendly dogs on a leash allowed.

This hike is scheduled for 6.15 pm every Thursday, it would be very helpful if everyone can get there by 6.15 pm. That way we can start signing everyone up. Initially, We will most likely split up the group on the way back so that faster hikers can do a bit more.

This hike is about 6 miles long with rolling hills and couple of climbs. you will need sturdy shoes and water. Please click the link below for directions to Washington's HQ parking area at Valley Forge.

People, thank you so very much for joining the first Thursday evening hike this season at Valley Forge. It started out with a bit of a drizzle and clouds, however, it was very acceptable hiking weather. We did both hills at fairly decent speed. We started on Mt. Joy and came out from Mt. Misery and did about 5 miles in a total of 93 minutes. Everyone did both hills as a part of Valley Creek trail is still blocked off. We had 26 participants for the hike. Leslie, thank you for sweeping. Dave, congratulations on getting your 100-miler hat! We had nine people at Rock Bottom. Thank you for a terrific conversation. – it is always better if market based solutions could be found to solve economic/social problems. See you all next week. - Bijal

I think this event should be changed to a paddle rather than a hike.
