Thursday Evening Hike @ Valley Forge (3C6)

Our return to VFNP from mid-Spring to mid-Summer! Please join us for a fast-paced six-mile evening hike at Valley Forge National Park. Meet at Washington's HQ parking lot. Please be there at 6.15 pm. Heels up 6.30 pm. Please be on time. Optional refreshment stop afterwards. Well behaved, people friendly dogs on a leash allowed.

This hike is scheduled for 6.15 pm every Thursday, it would be very helpful if everyone can get there by 6.15 pm. That way we can start signing everyone up. Initially, We will most likely split up the group on the way back so that faster hikers can do a bit more.

This hike is about 6 miles long with rolling hills and couple of climbs. you will need sturdy shoes and water. Please click the link below for directions to Washington's HQ parking area at Valley Forge.

People, thank you so very much for joining our Thursday evening effort. It turned out to be a perfect evening for hiking with Sunny skies and low humidity. We did about six miles and Mt. Misery from two sides, including Valley Creek, Wolfinger, and Boundary trails and Misery again from Yellow Springs. We could have done a third hill but somehow we did not. We were done in one hour and fifty minutes. Becky, thank you for sweeping. We had 27 participants for the hike. We had 12 people at Rock Bottom. Great times and conversations about horizontally opposed cylinders in car engines, equity valuations and options, and how a Lion can kill a Giraffe despite the inability to reach the neck! No, it doesn’t make any sense at all! See you all next week. - Bijal

Bij, you do have a funny way of condensing the evening.

I am so sorry to hear about this Jim. I hope your orthopedist finds good solution for your knee problems!

My knee problems continue. I am seeing the orthopedist again tomorrow. I can hike, but not at the pace of this hike.
