Bike - Hike along Delaware Canal

24 mile bike ride along the Delaware River tow path with a short but steep hike up Goat Hill at our halfway point in Lambertville, NJ. We'll meet in Yardley, PA. Pace 8 - 10 MPH. The flat tow path is packed gravel, best suited for hybrid bikes. The ride would not be enjoyable with a skinny-tired road bike. HELMETS REQUIRED. Bike must be in good working order. Bring plenty of water, spare tube, and tools. The hike is 2 miles with lovely views from the top. SEPTA accessible.

Thanks everyone! Great group today, congenial group despite a few rain drops in the morning. Shhhhh... Goat Hill is our little secret :)

A very enjoyable event. The canal path is very pleasant to ride along. The view from the top of the hill was worth the hike. Ann did a great job planning and leading the ride.

Good question Nancy. Yes, running shoes will be fine for the hike. Anyone with bike shoes that clip into pedals should plan to bring something else to hike in. Thanks for asking!
