Please join us for a moderately brisk-paced 9-mile hike at the Valley Forge National Park on the day after the Thanksgiving. We willstart the group activity PROMPTLY at 8:45AM at the lower parking lot near the visitor center. So, please take ample time to arrive to sign-in and/or to prepare yourself before the hike. It is up to you to bring over pumpkin pie or turkey sandwiches for a snack. Bring water. Sturdy footwear recommended, but not required. This is not for beginners. Children under 18-year-old need to be accompanied by the adult caregiver. No pets please. Optional lunch after the hike. Substantial rain or risky weather/trail conditions cancel the hike.

Thanks for several participants helped me out for the different combinations of the trails. Also thanks Adriana for posting the photo. We could not expect more for the beautiful weather in late Nov. However, where were other people? I guess they either slept in or could not get out from the shops/mall or simply chilled out for the near-freezing temperature.

Just realized I made it off the wait list. But made other plans. Enjoy.

I am a 64 year old of shape beginner. Is this going to be too hard for me? Can I go at my own pace?

Hi Midori, What is a realistic time that we will get back on Friday. 12pm noon? I need to schedule an afternoon appt. Thanks!

Adriana, I want to finish earlier, but around 1:00 PM is more realistic. This is a kind of round trip. Of course I can give you a dropout point, but I am not sure it works well.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
