Up the face of Breakneck, rest of day by leader's whimsey and mood day of hike. We will take sufficient time to enjoy the scramble.

Transportation 5E but take the 9:44 arriving 11:02

Dinner afterwards at Texas BBQ near Cold Spring for those that are interested (hence the later start).

Joint with YM

No calls morning of hike.

So glad I did my first climb up Breakneck face with Rich Seibel & all the members who attended. It was a fun day of hiking with fantastic group!

Thanks to all of those who came with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure! And extra thanks to those who helped out- Doris who made sure the train people worked out, Jonathon, Ed, and the other Rich for making the day a success. I appreciate the kind words - means a lot.

I hope to see all of you on other adventures.

Sorry, I thought everyone here was aware of the AMC transportation codes. Lesson for the future. Hope you get this in time.

Mapquest getting to Cold Spring. This will put you on 9D North (assuming you are coming from the south)

Continue on 9D north a few minutes and go through the tunnel. Parking lot is on left hand side 1/4 mile north of the tunnel.

if you come on 301 into Cold Spring. turn right (north) onto 9D.

Last good bathroom stop is the Foodtown on left hand side just before 301/Main street intersection.

If coming on 301 and you need the bathroom break, turn right at the traffic light, go to the Foodtown, then head back North (left).

    Hope to see you.

Oops, turn left at traffic light to go to Foodtown if coming on 301. Otherwise just turn right to go to the tunnel.

Where do we meet if I'm driving? Thank u

There is 800’of hands and feet scrambling (with options to go an easier way but quite frankly the attraction is the scrambling) and then the rest of the day is straight hiking.
Those needing more info please call as this is beyond E-mail. [masked]:30-9PM

No RSVP required but this is NOT a beginner hiker. Any doubts please call.

Esen, please call me - your question is beyond what I can communicate here.

Hello Richard, this sounds terrific. Do AMC members need to RSVP here or just show and go?

Hi, Richard, I've never been to Breakneck Ridge. Will this excursion be more climbing than a hiking?
