Lecture: Hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain

  • Sep 5, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • REI

Join REI Staffer Russell Wells for a presentation about his journey on the Camino de Santiago, the medieval pilgrimage route across northern Spain. Russell will discuss the historical and cultural background of the Camino and the practicalities of walking the routes including distances and difficulty, packing lists, and modern support infrastructure (lodging, eating, etc). Whether you have only heard of the Camino (or you saw the film The Way) and are looking for more information or whether you are actively planning your trip, this talk will be entertaining and informative!

*This is not an AT section hikers event. If you wish to attend you will need to sign up first on the REI website. I'll be attending and then driving back to Brooklyn afterwards via Manhattan. I can accommodate 4 additional people on the way home if you need a lift.
