This is a group with a wide variety of interests! If you love the great outdoors and living close to nature then this is the group for you. We love camping and hiking the Appalachian Trail but we also believe in being prepared for said hikes and campouts as well as being prepared for life's little emergencies. We love learning new ways to store food and water and knowing what to do when the electricity goes out.
Could we be considered "preppers"? Well, if you consider Israeli gas masks and zombie machetes "must haves" in your go bag, then no, we're definitely not preppers. We like to think more realistically. As former Army veterans stationed at rapid deployment units, we've had our fair share of being prepared.
Our mission is to bring simple, self-reliant strategies to the public. And honestly, we're all preppers to some degree or another. If you bring an umbrella to work because it looks like rain, you're a prepper. If you stash a couple of granola bars and water in the car for when the kids get hungry, you're a prepper.
So join us for lively discussions on everything from hiking tips to guns to go-bag basics and alternative healthcare (after all every good prepper knows that if the grid goes down, good healthcare will be the first to go).
