Introduction
My name is Michael. I am a journalist and writer. I have a sister who has lived in Perugia (Umbria) italy for 40 years. I am currently writing a book about the famous Italian medium Eusapia Palladino who reportedly levitated tables (!).

I have been studying it by myself using podcasts, and will be taking conversational Italian (8 weeks) at the UH starting in late January. I've visited Italy many times since my suster lives there. I would love to hear Italian spoken conversationally, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the language.

Connecticut, Have lived in Hawaii for 40 years after spending five years in Thailand. Currently banned from the country for lese-majeste for an article I wrote in the Asia Wall Street Journal regarding the future of the Thai monarchy. One of the risks journalists accept, but I still love the country and its people!
