oooh - I like what you guys are doing - also, Remington's is very yakker-friendly - I once missed my take-out, found myself stranded at the dam, walked to Remingtons and they got a pretty good kick out of receiving their first wayward paddler......If my football game in West Bend finishes early I might put in at C near Cedarburg and see if I can intercept your crew at Highland Bridge........don't be shy if you see a lazy paddler heading downriver.

By the looks of the river from Abi's photos, I will be bringing the big boat too which I hope Ron will captian. It is being equiped this week with a marine radio and GPS to communicate with two lead Yakkers with handhelds from a distance that I will provide for safety in the event anyone needs assistance. Safety in this group will always be our first priority. Pleasure/fun runs a close second!

Hey Matthew! We are heading upstream and then coming back down. We take things at a relaxed pace so we wont leave you in our wake. ;) Plus, you are new to our group so we will want to learn more about you! (my hubby and I like to gab). The current is usually pretty mild. I wouldnt expect it to be strong unless we have alot of rain or something.

Here's a detailed paddling guide with photos for the Milwaukee River that Abigail helped me put together. http://wipaddle.com/2011/03/mil... If anyone has paddled the river before and has something to add to the guide please leave your comments.
WI Paddle is a new site for paddling trips and resources for Wisconsin paddlers.

Abigail-Thanks for your feedback. If the current is too strong, we will just lag behind and will meet up with everyone on their way back thru! Any chance we could change the time to 1pm? The soleburner walk is in Appleton that morning, and making it by noon might be kind of tight with the 1.5 hour travel..... let me know what you think!
Thanks for organizing this- I do appreciate it and don't want to be a pain, just want to increase the possibility of more people paddling!
